The Costa Blanca, and espcially the area around Playa Flamenca and Torrevieja are renowned for its health benefits, due to its unique micro climate and the salt lakes with it's abundance of minerals etc. also the fact that the area has over 300 days of sunshine a year the benefits are obvious. In recent years the Costa Blanca was voted the 3rd best place in Europe for your health, but in 2003 it was voted number one, even beating Switzerland.
There is a vast aray of things to do and places to see all within easy reach of Playa Flamenca.

ALICANTE:
The town has everything you could want for shopping and relaxing. There are some nice beaches/promenades, this also has a lovely large harbour with bars & restaurants. It's well worth a visit, or you could just stroll down the tree lined promanade again with bars & restaurants, also on occasions market stalls.
TORREVIEJA:
Itself a must, the town has everything you could want for shopping and relaxing. There are some nice beaches/promenades, park down by the Marina and enjoy the sunshine and atmosphere watching the world go by. There are also two water parks in Torrevieja one called- Aquopolis, with restaurants and picnic areas. (open June - September) another for younger children called - aquaparkflamingo
